Students in our Introduction to Programming class just completed Plainfield’s second annual Mancala Madness Tournament! Mancala is a 1300 year-old game from East Africa, and our students developed competitive Artificial Intelligence algorithms to play Mancala autonomously. In third place, with a 3-and-2 record, is Colin Williams's Big Boy AI. Winning a tie-breaker for second place, also with a 3-and-2 record is Austin Jamrow's Sans Undertale AI. And our Mancala Madness AI versus AI Tournament Champion, with a 4-and-1 record, is Sage Quintin's Joe Rogan AI. Congratulations Sage!!! (Bracket hosted by Challonge.com)
